Small compact drones are a great new tool for documentary filming. I own a Phantom 4 and used it on a recent trip to southern Chile where I shot a film about lighthouses for German TV. Here is a selection of my aerial shots for that film – despite windy conditions I was able to capture the spectacular landscapes three lighthouses at the end of the world are set in.
Despite difficult weather conditions with high wind, it was possible to stage 3 lighthouses with aerial photographs and connect them to their surroundings.
